Floristic characteristics of the Hyrcanian submountain forests (case study: Ata-Kuh forest)
Ata-Kuh forest, a preserved area within Hyrcanian relict forests, with an area of 700 ha is located in north of Iran. Based on floristic studies from 2011 through 2012, 194 vascular plant species were identified belonging to 143 genera and 66 families. Among our samples, 24 taxa were endemic to Hyrcanian area. The largest families in the area were Rosaceae (10.3 %), Poaceae (9.7 %), Asteraceae ...
متن کاملTwo Techniques to Improve Mesh Quality and Preserve Surface Characteristics
In this paper we present two novel techniques to improve the quality of triangle surface meshes while preserving surface characteristics as much as possible. In contrast to previous approaches we do not tend to preserve mesh nodes on the original discrete surface. Instead, we propose two techniques, which allow to keep resulting mesh close to the smooth surface approximated by the original mesh...

متن کاملOn certain semigroups of transformations that preserve double direction equivalence
Let TX be the full transformation semigroups on the set X. For an equivalence E on X, let TE(X) = {α ∈ TX : ∀(x, y) ∈ E ⇔ (xα, yα) ∈ E}It is known that TE(X) is a subsemigroup of TX. In this paper, we discussthe Green's *-relations, certain *-ideal and certain Rees quotient semigroup for TE(X).
متن کاملFloristic Interchanges Between Formosa and the Philippines
THE FLORAS of Formosa and the Philippines are, in spite of the ir geographic proximity , distinctive in their general nature. The tw<? regions wereseparated by the Formosan rift (the Bashi Channel), probably in the early Tertiary, long' before their connections with other respective neighboring areas were severed. Thus the bulk of the Formosan flora was derived from China or from other floras t...
